When we first bought this land in 1988, it was a quiet woodlot along the coast of Edgecomb, Maine. We spent years camping here, getting to know every inch of it — the light, the seasons, the feeling of being fully connected to the coast.
That deep familiarity guided everything we built. Each path, garden, and gathering space was shaped with care to feel as though it had always belonged. What began as a simple dream — to live close to nature — became a place that feels alive, timeless, and deeply rooted in Maine’s beauty.
Highfields has grown alongside our family and friends, hosting countless celebrations and quiet moments under open skies. Now, after decades of care and creation, we’re opening it to others — to share the same sense of peace, connection, and joy that has defined our time here.
Highfields is a slice of heaven on the Maine coast — crafted with love and meant to be shared.
